In the case between the Organization of Protection of Human Rights and Rights of Insurance Employees and Others (including trade unions and an employee of SUC Ltd) and the Public Enterprises Reform Commission and Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation Ltd, the court addressed whether the refusal to grant extensions of service to employees beyond the age of 55 constituted executive or administrative action under Article 126 of the Constitution.
