In the case between Herath Mudiyanselage Wasanthi Herath (petitioner) and the Officer in Charge, Criminal Investigations Branch, Police Station, Anuradhapura and others (respondents), the court addressed the issue of whether a revision application brought under Article 138 of the Constitution of Sri Lanka should proceed or be withdrawn following the petitioner’s request. It was determined that, upon application by counsel for the petitioner, the petition should be withdrawn and was accordingly dismissed.
