In the case between Wedige Jaslin Fernando (later Lathaa Salgado, as substituted Plaintiff-Respondent) and M. Thawlin Fernando (later Mandadige Teslin Fernando) with Kumarapatabendige Premalal Siri Fernando (3rd Defendant–Appellant), the court addressed the issue of entitlement to a declaration of title and eviction regarding a specifically identified portion of land.
