In the proceedings between the Centre for Eco‑Cultural Studies, Justice for Animals, and other petitioners against various State officials and departments responsible for wildlife management, the Supreme Court addressed the constitutional and statutory validity of Regulations 5(1), 5(2), 6(1), 6(2), 6(3), 7(1), 7(2), and 7(3) made under the Fauna and Flora Protection Ordinance (FFPO), which pertained to the registration and regularization of tamed elephants.
