A. Sunil Upananda Silva and others Vs. Bank of Ceylon – CA WRIT 191/2012-2012

In the case between A. Sunil Upananda Silva, W. Chandra Sriyani De Silva, and P. Sumanthi Sujatha Rodrigo, acting for the Women & Child Development Foundation (petitioners), and the Bank of Ceylon (respondent), the court addressed whether a writ of mandamus should be issued to compel the Bank of Ceylon to release funds from the petitioners’ account.
