In the case between Rupasinghe (the accused, an officer of Court) and the Republic of Sri Lanka, the court addressed whether the accused accepted a gratification of Rs. 50/- as an inducement or reward for interfering with the due administration of justice in terms of sections 16, 19(c), and 90 of the Bribery Act.
