In the case between Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation Ltd. (Plaintiff) and Jayathilake (Defendant), the court addressed whether the refusal to extend an expired employment contract constituted “unjust termination” or “constructive termination” warranting relief under the Industrial Disputes Act.
